Find theequivalent input capacity or the equivalent output torque for your needs.2]Thermal rating capacityThe performance table for Makiace worm gear speed reducers was prepared onthe assumption that our standard coating was applied at an ambienttemperature of 20℃If any of the following conditions is encountered, check the thermal ratingcapacity.2-1)When you apply a coating other than the MA series standard coating(When a top coat is applied after installing the product on a machine)2-2)When the ambient working temperature near the speed reducer is higherthan 20℃2-3)IF you want the upper temperature limit for the gear case lubricant to be95℃or less3]Servomotor compatibility3-1)Pay attention not to exceed the specified input capacity.3-2)When the input to a speed reducer is controlled by a program, aservomotor can be used if the input is not higher than the specified inputcapacity for the speed reducer.3-3)Except in the case of item 3-1) above, select a speed reducer that has aspecified input capacity more than twice the capacity of the servomotor.3-4)When the product is used at an input rotation speed from 1800 rpm to3000 rpm, make selection using the capacity shown for 1800 rpm as aguide. In particular, pay attention not to exceed the specified inputcapacity. Since the lubricant friction resistance is reduced, pay closeattention to load coefficient and the thermal rating capacity.3-5)The control program should start and stop slowly, as much as is possible.4]Overhang load4-1)What is overhang load (OHL)?The overhang load is the suspended load acting on the output shaft. Itshould always be considered when selecting speed reducers.Normally, the value resulting from dividing the load torque by the radius ofthe rotating body (sprocket, pulley, and so on) is considered to be theoverhang load (OHL).4-2)Calculation of the equivalent allowable overhang loadThe acceptable overhang load value shown in the catalog is calculated onthe assumption that the load is acting on the center of the LS dimensionshown for the output shaft. Therefore, when the point where the load isapplied is not in the center of the LS dimension, the acceptable value inthe catalog will not be correct. Find the equivalent allowable overhangload using the formula and the table given in the selection procedure.4-3)Overhang load coefficientWhen a speed reducer and a driven machine are driven indirectly, selectthe overhang load coefficient from the separate table according to thetype of connection, and then find the overhang load.Type number selection procedureSlect the type number as followsDetermination of the selection specifications3.Calculation of the equivalent capacity1.Reduction ratioR= input shaft rotation speed n1output shaft rotation speed n24.Provisional selection of a type numberTemporarily select the type number that corresponds to Pe or Te from the performance table.Type number selectionLoad coefficient tableNote-1: Since it is also necessary to check strength of the unit depending on the frequency of use, please contact us.
